Welcome to the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend edition of the Friday Night Guitar Thread! We got some music to drink to, or grill to, or just listen to, and we would sure love to hear you play some music and share it with us as well. Any skill level is welcome. Any instrument. Lets celebrate!

TheRealBuhdda  It's Memorial Day weekend. I have something for this...  CCR - Fortunate Son

Sleazy  Here is another song that Chris and I played out on the porch the other night.  I Love This Bar

popticalillusion  I didn't get anything finished, but I will post what I'm working on. I broke out the acoustic guitar and had some interference with the microphone so I just stopped there. I plan to replace all the guitar parts with my own, leaving just the drums and vocal (instrument) in the final version.  Peaceful Easy Feeling by the Eagles. None of the bands I were in ever covered it and it's been a favorite song of mine; so I'm learning it.

Sleazy  Here is a song I wrote about a story told to me by a WWII vet years ago. It seems appropriate to share on Memorial weekend.  Battle of the Bulge  I really should try to re-record this and make it right, it was just so annoying to put it all together at the time, I got sick of doing it, it's so long and I was just happy to have got through it once without fucking it up too much.

My buddy Chris came over again the other day for a little while, and we sat out on the porch in the nice weather with no mosquitoes and played a couple songs. Here is us playing Merle Haggards White Boy

Last night my son had some friends over and they had a cookout in the back yard and were drinking up a big giant bottle of crown royal. After we ate, my woman went and fell asleep so I went and visited the drunk people for a little while. My son asks me if I want some magic mushrooms and I said hell yeah and at a handful of them. I came in for another beer when they hit me, and I saw my guitar and I picked it up and played it all fucked up and shrooming. I just played where the music lead me. I recorded some of it, and it's nothing I ever played before but I think its cool Acoustic Jam

popticalillusion  I edited my acoustic track better and remixed it some. I think i am ready to move on to the other guitar parts now and hope to be finished by next Friday. Peaceful Easy Feeling Edited. Sounds a bit better now.

That's right, it's Friday night. So, grab a beer or your best girlfriend and come listen to some music created by your peers. Listeners of all skill levels are welcome -- players too!

TheRealBuhdda  Hello and welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started with a track of our own.  This week's track stems from a question posed last week. We got it done much quicker than I expected. This one goes out to @popticalillusion - hoping to match their favorite genres at least a little.  It Sure Ain't Pop (the usual suspects)  That was a fun one to put together. Life is short, so take the time to rock out!  Rock on, Goats! Rock on!

Sleazy  Here is a song I wrote and recorded a couple of years ago that has only been shared once.  Give Me Attention

The other night my buddy Chris came over to jam some tunes. It just so happened that a couple other people showed up here before he got here with three cases of beer looking to play some poker. So we all sat down and played cards for some hours. When that was done we tried to play some music, but we were pretty drunk. Here is our version of Billy Joel's T]he Keyboard Man, we kind of made it through LoL

CameIsMiller  One night on the other place Crazy (now Sleazy I assume) posted Over the Hills and Far Away, and I said I used to be able to play it quite well. So one night I got good and drunk and tried to play it. It's not as bad as it could be after not having played it in like a decade, Over The Hills And far Away don't know if I posted that before, can't look it up over "there"

popticalillusion  Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols Damn. I thought this song would be easy, but I used a different recording procedure this week which made the editing worse. Here's Anarchy In The U.K.!

That's right! It's Friday Night! It's time for yet another Friday Night Guitar Thread. Everyone is welcome - even listeners of all skill levels and musicians who are just starting out. We ain't picky and we have low standards!

Grandmacaesar  Hi guys, I hope all is well.  It's hot here, but I've seen lots worse.  Here's an original, I just recorded and mixed it over the last couple hours.  Tribe

OGRellik88  Well headed off to date night with the wife. However he is a wikiloops track I added bass too.

hit-n-run  This is a song all the beginning piano players play. It's also a jazz standard/vocalists song.  Bouncy, happy, jumpy, poppy stuff.  Heart and Soul

Crazy  Here is me and my woman and my friends  playing the Talking Heads song Once In A Lifetime

TheBuhdda  Hello and welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started. We actually have something new, but it's probably also new to you! So, you might enjoy it....  Nothing But Thieves - Ban All The Music  Rock on, Poaler Bears! Rock on!

Crash! Bang! Boom! Pow! It's the 4th of July weekend Friday Night Guitar Thread! Come one, Come all! The US Revolution Army used music for sending orders to the troops. Let's share some music!

TheBuhdda  I'm feeling particularly burnt out, or starting to. So, thanks to @crazy for opening the thread.  We had something new last time. This time, you get something that I don't think has been shared much. At least that's going by the fact that it wasn't uploaded to the share.fngt.gq site...   Metallica - One   I should probably listen. It's a good song. Meh... Fuck it... I'm not in the mood to listen to music. So, I hope it's as good as I dimly remember.

Crazy  When ever someone finds out I play guitar and says play something, this is what I play.

My buddy Chris came over a couple days ago and we jammed all night long. Here is him and me and my woman playing Blue Suede Shoes

Grandmacaesar  Hi guys, I hope everyone got paid today.  I recorded a new song today, but I'm having a problem getting it from my minidisc recorder to my computer.  My CD recorder took a dump.  Or maybe the last two batches of blank discs I bought are bad.  So here's something I posted in the past.  Features my offspring on marimba. Big Cherry

Minimalarch  So first pickup went great second was missing the eye loops so it didn't work but I did capture a few minutes of one pickup in various voice amp models on my fender champion 100

Crazy  Here is me and my friend Chris playing Breaking Benjamin's Diary of Jane

Yup. It's Friday - and that means it's time for the Friday Night Guitar Thread. Everyone's welcome to contribute and I'll remind you that we have really low standards - so literally anyone is welcome to share the music they made.

TheBuhdda  Hello and welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get this started.  I should have some new live stuff. I don't. We didn't bring the recordings home with us. We'll work to get that sorted out. Until then, here's a rarely heard classic rock piece:  Allman Bros - Melissa (eh #1 & tb #2).  Not only is that seldom heard, it's rather old. That's from June of 2019, according to the meta data. The missus wasn't the missus and was still pretty new to the guitar. So, it's pretty old and I think we only shared it once or twice. Ah well... We've got so much in the archives...  Rock on, Poalr Bears! Rock on!

Grandmacaesar  Hi all.  I did eight chairs today.  Here's a cover of a Reid Paley song.  Take What You Want

OGRellik88  Actully have just been practising this week. Here is another colab I did on wikiloops. I don't think I posted this one already.  Happy Friday.

Crazy  Hey everyone. Here is a Johnny Cash song my buddy Chris and I played, Blue Train

Here is a song where my friend Chris and I were just fucking around making noise when all of a sudden my girlfriend decided to sing over it. I don't know if what she is singing are lyrics to some song or if she was making the words up but I thought they were pretty funny. Here's the Dirty Boogie

Hey everyone. Since it is Friday.  Welcome to the Friday Night Guitar Thread. Lets listen to the music of our peers and share the music that we can create ourselves. Its a far cry better than consuming the mass media. Come have some fun. Everyone is welcome!

Rux  I recorded this Modest Mouse cover today for the thread. I hope to do something weekly; not sure I want to post originals.  Dramamine for FNGT

Grandmacaesar  Hi all.  I recorded this to my phone a few minutes ago.  In My Defense

TheBuhdda  Here's something from the archives - but you'll have barely heard it. It was recorded back in June of 2019, at the wife's request.  Alice Cooper schools out(eh #2 tb #1 & j b)  It has rarely been shared and appears only twice in the archives - and not for quite some time. It probably would have been better to share this when school was actually getting out for the summer months.  Ah well... School is still out.  Rock on!

hit-n-run  I played this song almost every day for the last year and a half. Played it at least 5x sometimes 10x. Also difficult parts over and over. Wanted to destroy by guitbox. Hard truth is I can't play the guitar. Been trying to play it for like 8 years. At least I found out, I just ain't got it.  Dust in the Wind-Sungha Version

Crazy  Here is me and my buddy Chris playing an old Dylan tune, Tangled Up in Blue

   Good Old Boys
