It is Friday night, and you all know what that means! It is time for the Friday Night Guitar Thread! Where we get to share with and listen to the music of our peers. Any instrument is welcome. Any skill level. We have low standards. Play us a tune, sing us a song, or just sing and dance along.

TheRealBuddha  I am not really here yet. Anyhow, I have nothing new - but I have something unshared here - and not shared all that much. It's one of my favorite songs. I fricken' love this song. Black Crowes She Talks To Angels (EH #2; TB #1; & Guests)  It's a song many of you can sing along with, I hope! So, belt out the lyrics loud enough to offend the neighbors. If they live further way, go outside and belt out the lyrics. Belt 'em out loud enough to be heard for a half-mile. Sing like nobody is watching - or, if it's easier, sing like the whole world is watching!

Sleazy  My buddy Chris stopped over yesterday with a couple joints to smoke because it was Hitlers birthday and that is the tradition in America.  So we thought we would play some songs about smoking the devils lettuce.  Here is Puff the Magic Dragon

Hello everyone. This here new song got into my head from who knows where last weekend and recorded it earlier this week. Here is my original song I called, One Little, Two Little, Three Little

Sticking with the theme of smoking songs we also played I Got Stoned And I Missed It yesterday while we were baked

Rock and roll ain't noise pollution! Welcome all once again, to the Friday Night Guitar Thread! Come share your musical talents! Any skill level is welcome. Any instrument. Listeners welcome. Music is for sharing! Get in here now, and share some music!

Sleazy  Here is a song that my buddy Verle wrote and I recorded the music for and he sang it, Livin A Lie

TheRealBuddha  Hello and thanks for @sleazy's opening the thread. Is it me, or are the weeks flying by faster and faster? Every time I turn around, it's time for the Friday Night Guitar Thread! (That's not really a bad thing.) As such, we don't always have something new. Instead, we have something that we recorded especially for COF. I don't know if it was ever shared with the group as a whole, because this one originally a private track - just made for him. I think he may have finally suggested we share it, or shared it himself, but I don't recall any specifics.  Either way, y'all likely haven't heard this - and you don't even wanna know the work that went into it. We had to scrape the audience noises out of the original and then manage to match the band exactly to fit in around the snipped audio. It was not an easy task, but Biff managed.  Aerosmith - Train Kept A Rollin' (eh, j, & tb)  throws horns  Rock on, goats! Rock on!

ChatGPT  They kept playing this song at McDonalds and I paid it never no mind. Then I noticed it one day and thought, "that's a great song." It's a loop of chords of Cannon by Pachelbel. I love what Maroon 5 did with it. That singer delivers an incredible performance.  Memories - Maroon 5

Sleazy  My buddy Chris came over earlier in the week and we played some music too, here is Living in the Future by John Prine

My buddy Verle came over last night. He was feeling down cause his girlfriend left him and took all his money with her on her way out the door. So while he was here we tried to play some AC/DC Rock and Roll ain't noise pollution

Do you know what time it is? It's Friday night! That means it's time for the Friday Night Guitar Thread. We welcome all musicians, any instruments, and listeners of every skill level.

TheRealBuhdda  Hello and welcome to a new FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started. We have something new for you this week. It's actually an original song. It's titled the way it is (Back To Basics) because it's a bit of a tribute to mid-80s metal. Note, I said metal - not to be confused with hair bands. It's not going to remind you of Poison or Bon Jovi. It's (hopefully) going to remind you of stuff like Megadeath or mid-80s Metallica. So, with all that said and done:  Back To Basics (The Usual Suspects)  throws horns  Rock on, goats! Rock on!

Hmm... Glad ya liked it. I've covered some Malmsteen before, but it hasn't been shared in ages. It's not even uploaded to my sharing site.  Lemme fix that...  Here you go, just for you, have some Yngwei Malmsteen:  Yngwie Malmsteen - Caprici di Diablo

Sleazy  Hello everyone. I am currently driving though a national forest headed towards home. I made up this here song this week. Love Is The Answer

Try this:  Love Is The Answer

Thought_Criminal  Sorry, the review below is for Sleazy's Loving Touching Squeezing cover.  Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'  Fucking solid.  Lennonesqe. Deal with it.

   Sleazy  Fuck The World

ChatGPT  I was chillin' at Jack in the Box a couple weeks ago and heard this song. I could barely hear it over the ambient noise. I liked it, recorded that last 2 mins of it on the iPad I was reading and found it on YT. So I decided to play it. Pollyanna-Green Day

Sleazy  The other day my friend Chris came bye and we jammed out for a while. There was a woman friend here and she was all excited, saying "I get to have my own personal concert!" And she made a few requests. She requested Journey, so we learned and played, Loving, Touching, Squeezing

TheRealBuddha  Well, the music was kinda close. Kinda... 'Snot bad for just looking the chords up and going for it. 'Snot bad at all.  Hmm...  I know I've got some somewhere...  Ah, here's some Journey  Also, the vocals are hard to nail properly. I forget the name at the moment, but that fucker could sing.

Hall_of_Cost   Another space opera demo Purpose

Roger that, I have the entire story written out. I decided to write songs this way, because when i write lyrics from my own viewpoint- they sound bad, or just feel stupid. When I write from the perspective of the characters in my story it's so much easier. But I havent written lyrics to this one yet. More recent recording. No second guitar part though.

Sleazy  I've got one more for you all that me and my buddy learned and played the other night at the request of that woman. The BoDeans Closer to Free

That's right, we're now on Talk.lol, or back on Voat if you'd like to think of it that way, and it's time for the Friday Night Guitar Thread. We welcome any instrument and any skill level, even listeners at any skill level!

TheRealBuddha  Hello and welcome to a new FNGT! While we've held the FNGT here on Talk.lol in the past, I'm going to count this as our inaugural Talk.lol guitar thread. So, I have a pretty appropriate song for this. It's not technically new, but you may have heard it once and only once. It's not even on my sharing site, though I suppose I could change that. Anyhow, this one took a bunch of work and it seems appropriate to me.  Metallica - Wherever I May Roam (B #3 & 4; J B & K; TB #1, 2, 5 & P)  throws horns  Rock on, Goats! Rock on!  If that link gives you trouble:  Metallica - Wherever I May Roam (B #3 & 4; J B & K; TB #1, 2, 5 & P)

Sleazy  Hello everybody. It's nice to be here. My buddy Chris stopped over the other day and I told him that we are moving this weekly thread here and we decided to dedicate a song to it.  Mama, I'm Coming Home

While my friend was over the other night we also learned and played this classic song Lake of Fire

ChatGPT  found you  So I watched Easy Rider. Always liked this song so I decided to do it. It's by the Byrds, written by Goffin/King I Wasn't Born to Follow

Hey there people, it is Friday night and that means it is time for the Friday Night Guitar Thread! Come listen to some home grown music. Everybody is welcome

TheBuhdda  I am gonna cheat. These folks didn't hear last week's track!  A Lesson In Speed (The Usual Suspects)  There. That was easy!

Sleazy  My buddy came over last night and we jammed for a little while, here is our version of Down To Seeds And Stems Again

Sleazy  Here is this idea I had recently for a song. I have not come up with the lyrics yet but I intend to add some words and maybe re-arrange it to fit the words. Anyways. I think it sounds cool to me. It's something

Hall_of_Cost  Wow great to see all these goats in here. Lately I've been working on a space opera. To Be A hero

Welcome to the drunken St. Paddy's Day guitar thread! Sobriety is optional, but having a good time is pretty much mandatory. We welcome listeners from all skill levels!

TheBuhdda  Hello and welcome to another Friday Night Guitar Thread! This time, it's the St. Patrick's FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started.  If you've been paying attention, you've been waiting for this for a long time. We have something new for you this week, something original! It seems like a good coincidence that it was done in time for a holiday thread.  This song is an exercise in finger speed. Wait for it, and listen very carefully. Yes, those are individual notes and not some effect or sliding.  A Lesson In Speed (The Usual Suspects)  ~throws horns~  Rock on, Poalr Bears! Rock on!

hit-n-run  Yo! I messed around with this song. Then I find out the January Sixth prisoners along with President Trump had a number one chart topper on iTunes last week of the same song... taking over the top spot from Miley Cyrus, "Flowers."  How 'bout that.  You gotta be pretty good to beat out super duper gal Miley Cyrus. Star Spangled Guitar

   Crazy  Here's Danny Boy

   Weila, Weila Weila

Happy St Patrick's Day! There's Whiskey In The Jar

Welcome all once again to another Friday Night Guitar Thread! Time to dust off your guitar and play us a ditty. Or any other instrument you might have. Lets share some tunes with each other! All skill levels are welcome, as we have low standards!

Crazy  Last night my buddy Chris came over with a case of beer and we got drunk together and jammed out some drunken music. Here we are begging Come On Eileen

TheBuddha  Tonight's track is actually quite special, but it's done well enough that folks didn't notice.  The song's called Video Killed The Radio Star and was written by a band named "The Buggles". It was the first song ever played on a new TV channel that we'd come to know as MTV. (Back then they played videos. Imagine that!)  Buggles - Video Killed The Radio Star  Enjoy!

~throws horns~

Crazy  Here is another song we played all drunk last night. This is one I made up just last weekend or something and I was telling Chris about it  and how I don't have no words for it and he said well just fucking play it! So I did. Then he started singing whatever was in his head I guess and somewhere along the way in the middle of it all he pressed record. Here is Fuck That

It has been 'hiding' at my upload site for a couple of years.  AC-DC - Back in Black (B #1 & #3; J B; B P & #2)  throws horns

Crazy  Here is one last song that we did as we got more and more drunk, Jolene
