Yup. It's time for the Friday Night Guitar Thread! Just a reminder, our 5 year anniversary is coming up in two weeks! That's a long damned time in 'internet years'. So, come join in the fun with us tonight...
TheBuhdda Hello and welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started... It's too fucking hot to record. We have a project we're working on, but we've not made much progress. I'm also dealing with a situation I never really thought I'd say. We've finally cleared out storage lockers from about 2008. I now have more guitars than I can reasonably own. I don't even have enough room to store them properly, never mind display them. So, that's something I need to resolve. Anyhow, here's something bluesy... BB King: The Thrill Is Gone Rock on, Poalr Bears! Rock on!
Grandmacaesar Hi y'all. I hope everyone's havin' an awesome Friday. I shattered the glass in the slidin' back door with the weed eater a few minutes ago, so here I sit with a beer and a bowl of top-shelf. The whole world can turn to shit right now, but at least it's Friday. I covered a Yardbirds tune. I always assumed it was probably co-written by Clapton and Relf, but TIL it was written by Graham Gouldman, the guy who later co-founded 10cc. For Your Love
hit-n-run I did this famous song called Girl from Ipanema. Really excellent guitar song. Girl from Ipanema
Crazy Good Old Alcohol

Grandmacaesar Hi guys. I hope everyone's havin' a Happy Friday. I recorded a Zappa song to my phone today. Big Leg Emma
Crazy We did a rendition of Stuck In The Middle with You
TNN Honky Tonk Uke
Crazy Here is an old grateful dead song we played. I enjoyed this one, I dont even know the song really, but its the dead so I figure I can noodle around on the guitar here and there to give it that dead flavor, and I enjoy that. Here's Athena
Hi everybody! Hope you're all having a mighty fine evening. My friend Chris came over not too long ago and we jammed out some cool tunes. Here our version of the Cranberries Zombie

Well, folks... This is it! As of today, the Friday Night Guitar Thread is FIVE years old! When I started this, I never expected it to last that long. So, come join us in celebrating the rather major milestone!
TheBuhdda Hello and welcome to a special edition of the FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started. Five years. Five goddamned years... We've been doing this thread for five years. That's pretty much an eternity in Internet Years. That outlives so many fads, even real-world fads! I dare say, at this point, we're pretty much an institution. In our time, we've had people be born, we've had people die, we've had trauma, and we've had joy. We've been, albeit small at times, a community where you can come share your work - just like what was asked in the very first guitar thread all those years ago. And so... I could make this a long speech but, you know what? Here's the track you've been waiting for! Shut Up And Rock (The Usual Suspects). I hope it was worth the wait! Count the individual guitar tracks. We had both a wet and dry channel, and we recorded the dry channel to re-amp the whole thing. I dare say it came out just fine. Rock on, Poalr Bears! Rock on!
CryptoBard I've got a brand new song for you guys. Tanx I just finished it last night.
Crazy Happy anniversary!
Grandmacaesar Happy Anniversary! Here's a cover of an unusual love song written by They Might Be Giants. I'm Your Boyfriend Now
hit-n-run Congratulations Buddha on your 5 years in this thing. Pretty cool. I posted this song by Sinatra called Fly Me to the Moon.
Crazy My brother came to town yesterday and we met up at our mom's house for supper. I noticed he had a few instrument cases sitting in the corner so I asked him what he brought. he had an accordion, a concertina, a ukulele, a mandolin, an autoharp and a dulcimer. So after dinner we played together some for the first time we have jammed together since we were 5 years old. I dont really know how to play those instruments so i faked it i on the ukulele. here's us doing copperhead road
I wrote this one in honor of COF but I guess it's in remembrance of him now. The Cynical Old Fart
TNN Here's OddSock an odd one for the fifth. Happy anniversary. Edit: Lol, that's the first time I've seen a FNGT submission downvoted. This must really suck balls.
TheBuhdda How about, A Life Well Lived
Crazy Crashed would not even exist without the FNGT having existed.
Here is a song I played with my brother with him playing autoharp. Who would've thought the railroad wouldn't last?
When my friend Chris was over here jamming with me the other day one of my woman's friends stopped by to visit her for a little bit and she had some guy with her. he was liking where I lived and seemed decent enough. we played hang me for them. Then the left. The next morning I find out that the guy was found dead in his bed. Crazy

It is once again Friday night and that can only mean one thing. It is time for the Friday Night Guitar Thread! Come one, come all! Everybody is welcome. All skill levels. All instruments. It's time for the music so get in here and start dancing!
Crazy Hello everyone! Last weekend my friends Chris and Verle came over to sing some songs and drink some beer. We played a version of Golden Earrings Radar Love
TheBuhdda I shared a biggie last week, so obviously I've got nothing new this week! However, I have something only shared once. It should definitely be shared again. This was played over a drum track supplied by my amp, I'm pretty sure. It was a demonstration for the missus about the versatility of the bass - including using it as a percussion instrument. It's called A Masterclass In Bass Gnaw on that for a minute or two.
Grandmacaesar Hey guys, sorry I didn't join in last night. I'm working on something fresh though. Here's something I shared a while back. I wrote it for a science-fiction program, but it didn't get used. Psy Fie
Crazy Here is one more song from last weekend with my friends Which side are you on?
While Verle was over we told him that we had played the Cranberries Zombie a week or so before and he wanted to try it so we did it again, with Verle singing most of it, so here's The Zombie Apocalypse

That's right, it's Friday! That means it's time for the FNGT! Those that know, know. Those that don't know, are encourage to come learn. Or not... We're gonna rock out regardless. I do what I want!
TheBuhdda Hello and welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, I'm going to get you started. We're actually working on our Christmas track already, but we didn't record anything new. As it was our anniversary not long ago, I figure I should share a track from our last anniversary. This one is called Four Years Gone. Rock on, Poalr Bears! Rock on!
bopper Dear Buddha, I got that guy named @Crazy to help me with a link to my song Time Passages but he said it was so bad that he cut it off and only wanted to just a few seconds to play. So here it is.
Grandmacaesar Hi guys, and Happy Labor Day weekend! Here's a new one I just finished a few minutes ago. Last Picture
Crazy Hey, happy Friday. My buddy Chris came over the other day and we were trying to think of a song to play, when we couldn't think of anything, I said to him, lets write a song. So we wrote a song. Stanley
The last time Verle was here along with Chris we tried to play this song that Verle's mother had made a record of way back in the 60's. I dont know if she wrote the song or just sang it. Either way, we tried. Every Beat Of My Heart Is For You

Friday! Friday Night! Friday Night Guitar! Friday Night Guitar Thread! It's Friday! Friday is when we have the Friday Night Guitar Threads. So here it is. Lets jam! Lets Sing! You're all welcome! Come on in!
Grandmacaesar As this weekend marks the 22nd anniversary of the attack on American soil, here's my 9-11 music video. Things That Shape #38 (The 9-11 Song)
Crazy My buddy Chris and I just played this Tom Petty song Girl on LSD
Here is me and Chris and Verle playing Zombie a couple weeks ago. Chris is here right now jamming with me and I got some stuff we're playing tonight to share in a little while. Verle is trying to find his way here too
hit-n-run How come the password ain't ever makemuricagreatagin? Man alive I found an old scratchy tape laying around of This Guy's in Love w You
bopper Okay, if you really wanna hear me practicing and learning a song, and I mean practicing, I'm posting this. Maybe I'll do another one that ain't so bad, where I know the song better. Maybe I'll even tune my guitar. If I feel too cringe-y though while listening to it here I might delete it. The humming at the very end is incredible.
Crazy It fit right in with our jam session!
Cocaine Carolina

Damned right, it's Friday Night! That means it's time for the Friday Night Guitar Thread! Come get your groove on!
Grandmacaesar Hi guys, I hope everyone had a productive week. I canned up some pickled green tomatoes, and I'm gonna bust 'em out on a bratwurst here in a few minutes. I covered a song by The Kinks. Black Messiah
TNN This is a work in progress...
hit-n-run Howdy y'all. See "y'all" works good with howdy. I hate the way niggers use "y'all!" There's this dude on YT that I used to watch about 9 years ago. Larry L. He taught this song and I learned it from him. Had typed up the chords, lyrics about 9 years ago and learned his arrangement. Went back to search for it and it's still there. If You Could Read My Mind-Gordon LIghtfoot
raido First time contributor here. We'll see how this goes. I'm gonna share a song called Diet of Worms from a concept album I did a couple years ago. Kinda showcases a lot of different things I like to put into my songs so I thought it'd be a good choice...
TheBuhdda Hello and welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started. I don't have anything new this week. We almost did, but yesterday turned into something frustrating and so I drank a little bit and slept. I regret nothing. How about something original to get this started? A Life Well Lived (The Usual Suspects) Rock on, Poalr Bears! Rock on!
Crazy Hello again everyone. Here is a song from last Friday night at my house when my friends Chris and Verle and I got all drunk with a couple women and sang a bunch of songs. Here is our drunken version of Used to Love Her from Guns and Roses

It is time once again for the Friday Night Guitar Thread. Step right up, don't be shy. Every one is welcome
broknspyrl My first share. I sort of ripped off the riff from Opeth a little. And it's not complete. And I know nothing about audio recording. Classical guitar through a webcam mic. Enjoy!
Crazy Here is a song where Chris and I were going to play a Guns n Roses song but Verle started singing and so it turned into this instead. Evil to Get Right
Grandmacaesar Hi all. I hope everyone has had a good week. I had to go to the Pacific Northwest earlier in the week, and I actually had to take a drive through Portland. Man, the homeless problem there is insane. I don't know how people can live and work around that shit. It's good to be back home. Here's a song by one of my favorite Franks. This is off of one of Frank Black's solo albums. Calistan
TheBuhdda We are not performing tonight. Too damned cold and I'm too damned old. So, here's something old - but original. It was Biff's "midterm" a while back. At the time, she couldn't play everything she wanted to play. So, you'll hear a lot of me and her. She also didn't do the drumming, obviously... Midterm Beh
bopper You got to moooov you feel me? Don't anybody be jealous of my skills lol.
Crazy Hello everybody! Had Chris and Verle over last weekend and we made some glorious noises. Here is Chris and I playing Renegade

That's right, it's time for the FNGT! Come join us in sharing our love for music! Any skill level is accepted.
TheBuhdda Hello and welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started. This is an original from the archives, but hasn't been shared in like a year. So, it shouldn't be too fresh in your memory. The Duality of Man I'm here, but probably not energetic or all that attentive. I'm doing this because the show must go on! (I've performed feeling much worse than this. I needed the money!)
Grandmacaesar Hi guys, Happy Friday. I hope all is well with everyone around the world, but I expect that's not the case. I wrote a quick song this afternoon and stuck it up on a cloud made out of sound. I named it Theme Song for the New MASH
hit-n-run What up? I always dug this song. I start playing it while sitting, chillin' then I stop. I hate that. So I figured I gots to not stop and continue since uh... that's kinda the idea. So I learned it. Excellent chord progression, fill-ins, melody. Make It With You - no, not Nipsey Hussle. yes, Bread
Crazy Here is another song Chris and I played the other day. I think it might became grateful dead song, Cocaine Carolina
Hello! Here is an old song my friend Chris and I played not too long ago, Honky Tonk Heroes

We're scanning the scene in the city tonight. We're looking to start up a Friday Night Guitar Thread! There is an evil feeling in our brains. But there's nothing new, you know it drives us insane! Come on in here and lets rock this place!
TheRealBuhdda I don't have anything new, but it'll be new to most of you. As you may know, the FNGT is more than five years old now. We were on Poal when we celebrated our 4th year anniversary. For that, we did the following: Four Years Gone (The Usual Suspects) throws horns
Sleazy Sit On My Face
I say Fuck the World
Hall_of_Cost I'm way late but - just tinkering around with this lately although it's probably already a song. Sounds familiar. Cosmic Circuitry Another new one open on that page is "A Starhorse is Born" - remember this is a little space opera. These are all just demos and I don't really work on it on any kind of schedule. Yall have a good'n!

Welcome to the drunk as a skunk edition of the Friday Night Guitar Thread. Come play us drunk people some music to sing aling with and dance to. You're all invited, everybody is welcome, any skill level, and instrument. Making music is awesome. lets make some music tonight!
ChristoDeFetus Sure, I’ll play. Recorded some years ago, pay no attention to my face, please. Bilge leech on linoleum flooring
OGRellik88 Well I cant be drunk yet still have to go to work. I made a short vid for tonight. Nothin fancy. Me playing my bass. Ghost Square Hammer
Crazy Here is a song I wrote and recorded a year ago or so, I don't know, but I really like this one, playing it, and listening to it! Fight or Flight
TheBuhdda Anyhow, while I don't have anything new - I do have something you've probably only heard once, and then you've only heard it if you were in the thread where this was released. This is actually Biff doing the heavy lifting, with some assistance. It's probably not as fancy as you'll first think, it was accomplished by making a whole bunch of different tracks, different guitar parts, and then stitched together. Still, it's a rare track and one well worth consuming. Blind Passion Enjoy!
Grandmacaesar Hi all. I just wrote and recorded this yesterday. Time Out of Mind
Crazy Here is another song that I wrote a while back that is everybodys favorite, She's a Whore!
hit-n-run Hey all you winners. I got this song I did called Loser. Beck.

Crazy Hello again everyone. Hope you're all doing good this week. I'm going to start this one off by getting right to the point, Sit On My Face
Grandmacaesar Happy Friday, I hope all is well. I didn't have anything ready to share so I sat down and did a quick acoustic riff into my phone a few minutes ago. I'm gonna challenge myself to turn it into a complete song by this time next week. The working title is Gorilla Cookies.
hit-n-run Hey all. I uploaded this song by Kenny Rogers called Ruby. Just me and the guitbox. Song written by M-m-mel T-t-tillis. Really great song and record. Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town
Crazy I got one more song to share with you all tonight. Hitman

bopper Okay wait. Hold up. I think I got something here. Yes, I do. An incredible acoustic guitar cover version of The Beach Boys' "Little Deuce Coup." Okay, it's goofy...but you all did say anybody and anything (almost). Messing around here (next time I'll tune my guitar).
Minimalarch Howdy yaw sorry it's been awhile but busy with work and hands been hurting My Song Looking forward to good music tonight @bopper I'll find yours since your excited
Grandmacaesar I took the shitty song idea that I posted last week (Gorilla Cookies) and tried to turn it into a song. This is the result. Bowling for Zoo
TheBuhdda I have internet connectivity issues. Today's track is one that you've likely only heard once, at most. Some of you may have never heard it before. I put it in the wrong folder, it should be under BDE. This was recorded in my studio, but it was the band rehearsing. GnR - November Rain Enjoy!
Crazy Hi everyone. Hope you're all good. I made up this here little ditty this past week, I need to come up with some words for it, I think it could be a good start for a song. Something new
TNN This is something I'm working on atm Busy People
Crazy It looks like we are going to have unseasonably warm weather all weekend here so I am encouraging everyone to get outside and get together with some friends and have some beers in the Backyard

Guess what? Chicken butt! Ha! Just kidding. It's Friday night and that means it's time for another Friday Night Guitar Thread. Come join in the merriment and rock out with your peers!
TheBuhdda Hello and welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started. This week's track is an original, so you'll probably appreciate it more than some of our covers. This one took some effort and had some different recording techniques used. Still Pictures In Motion (The Usual Suspects) Enjoy and rock on Poalr Bears! Rock on!
Minimalarch Wrote a song about my last dirtbike ride at track Tune full step down 435hz capo on 5th fret I believe is f maybe
Grandmacaesar I recorded this to my phone a few minutes ago. It's another Pixies cover. This one is from their first album. Cactus
Crazy When those two guys I had just met were here some other friends of ours who were listening to us play asked us to play a song that they might know. The drummer was taking a cigarette break so me and the guitar playing singer guy did this song. I thought his voice sounds really great. Wagon Wheel
My buddy Chris stopped over and jammed with me this past week as well. Here is us playing Linda Lovelace
Last weekend some friend of my girlfriend had some friends of hers that were musicians and they had heard about me from my girlfriend or something and they wanted to come over to my house and jam with me. They want to start a band. So what the hell. One of them is a drummer and guitar player and the other one plays guitar and sings. So we got everything hooked up and set up and I hit record and the drummer guy said All right, lets go

Do you know what time it is? It's time for the Friday Night Guitar Thread! We're gonna rock, rock, rock around the clock tonight! Bring your best girlfriend and your dancing shoes as you enjoy a night of music from your peers!
TheBuhdda Today is the last thread we'll have before Turkey Day. So, if you want to do something special for the holiday, we'll be celebrating it next Friday (when we're all in a turkey stupor)! We almost had something new this week, but I am to blame for the lack of progress. I had other things to do, including enjoying some beautiful snow. As such, here's a song you may have not heard in a while. It's an original shared quite a while back: Elegant Symphony (EH #2 & 3; J B; B; TB #1 & P). Rock on, Poalr Bears! Rock on!
hit-n-run I did this song by the Rolling Stones called Country Honk. It's their country/acoustic version of Honk Tonk Women. I learned that rhythm riff BI (before internet). I went to the internet to learn it right. Then I said fuck it. I'll just play it the way I learnt it. What's the diff. Country Honk
Crazy Hello. I was jamming with my new friends this past week and here is a Crack Type Woman for you
Here is me and my friend Chris playing a Grateful Dead tune, Friend of the Devil
