Be sure you at least read the section in the article on gain staging.  I think between the mic, the interface, and Cakewalk Pro, you'll be more than set.  Let me know if you have probs with anything and I'll help you however I can.

Thanks, man. I'm sure I will have many questions! I did read the article and watched the video; sounds like -12 on the gain is where it's at for digital recording.

No, not yet. I was told it would be delivered between Wednesday and Friday so hopefully it shows up tomorrow. I was hoping I would get a couple of days to play with it before Friday but no dice.
