That's probably okay, but not okay if you wanted it posted on the board OR you wanted it to be in any way private. I mean, I get 'em in plain text. In theory, I can rip out the database and read private messages. So, those aren't really that private - but I have zero reason to expend that energy. You should know that, however. Your passwords are hashed and salted, stored encrypted. That much I can assure you of. We store no plain text passwords and the hash will make recovering them via rainbow table pretty fucking close to impossible in a reasonable number of years. The little Green Icon in the top tells you we're also encrypted - but that's only in transit. The rest is plain text. So, if you value your privacy (and want to make the most of the forum) don't reply to the email. That just fucks everything up! |
