I don't like it as much, either. Unfortunately, I don't have time (or inclination, I suppose) to learn the prerequisite skills to take an existing theme and modify it to work with the various modifications that I'd like the forum to have. This *may* change in the very near future. SMF is moving to a different process for themes. When that is done, themes will be significantly easier to work with. It depends on when their RC3 goes to official release and then a short time for folks to develop themes for the new system. At that point, it'll be even better - 'cause I'll easily be able to set it up so that you can select from multiple themes and have all the same feature set. Until then, this was the better of the bunch. I really, really prefer a darker theme - 'cause all this light makes my eyeballs hurt after a while.

Also, you can enable notifications - they're disabled by default on your account. New accounts should have them enabled by default. https://fngt.gq/index.php?action=profile;area=notification;u=1 You'll automatically get notices if someone types @COF, irrespective of that particular setting. (That might be something you can adjust in your profile, I haven't dug through all those options yet.)
